Why work with me?

If you are looking to replace feeling stuck with hope, stagnation with growth, and isolation with connection, and start to live a more content life, you are at the right place.
I can support you in:

  • Relationship blockages (difficulty forming friendships and relationships; separation from family; becoming independent; commitment to relationships; repetitive patterns)

  • Coping with stress
  • Excessive worrying and overthinking (generalised anxiety)

  • Problems related to performance and goal achievement

  • Negative body image, self-image, identity-related difficulties

  • Self-esteem problems, building self-confidence

  • Coping with grief, processing a loss

  • Personality development

  • Learning assertive and non-violent communication

  • Managing conflicts -- expressing your feelings and needs in conflict situations, whether in family, relationship, workplace

  • Questions related to parenting and child rearing

  • Career and life path advice: career advice, planning further education, career change, challenges related to management positions.

Whatever problem you come to me with, you can be sure that:
  • I will fully listen to you: I am present with full acceptance and active attention, and I fully adapt the counselling process to your specific needs and situation

  • I apply the professional competencies of a psychologist acquired during the multi-year university training and further method-specific trainings, further trainings, conferences, and workshops, respecting the limits of my competences (if I am not the right professional who can support you with your problem, then I will try to direct you to a competent professional).

Important! I deal with healthy adults within the framework of psychological counseling. Psychological counseling is neither a health service nor psychotherapy. I do not offer psychotherapeutic treatment for clinical mental illnesses.

Psychological consultation as a process

During the first few sessions, we jointly explore what has brought you to therapy, the difficulties you are experiencing and why, and discuss whether and how to move ahead, and based on these we can set goals that form the basis of our cooperation. During the counseling process, of course, we can also decide together to redefine these goals.

After the first sessions, we enter into an oral contract about the goals we are pursuing, the frequency with which we meet, the (approximate) number of sessions, and when we hold a joint assessment to reflect on the counseling process.
